Mimers Hus Gymnasium was inaugurated in 2004 and is an attractive high school located in central Kungälv.

Today, around 1500 students attend the school, distributed across 12 national programs, including vocational, academic preparatory, and introductory programs. Approximately 180 staff members work at the school, characterized by great commitment and high competence. Our goal and focus is for everyone to succeed. The school offers a sports profile within all programs and entrepreneurship education in several.

As a teacher at Mimers Hus, you plan, implement, and follow up on the teaching. As an educator, you create a learning environment characterized by safety and trust. You are accustomed to assessing and evaluating various teaching strategies and adapting your teaching based on the student group you encounter. We have high expectations of our students and their ability to develop.

Responsibilities

Teaching English and Swedish or Swedish as a second language at the high school level for both vocational and academic preparatory programs. You will be part of an engaged staff group and belong to the sales and service program team.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree and teaching certification with the authority to teach high school English and Swedish or Swedish as a second language. Additional subject qualifications are a plus.

You have the ability to create good relationships with students, guardians, external partners, and colleagues.

You can meet students in complicated learning situations, have clear leadership in the classroom, are experienced in working with adaptations and alternative learning tools, and can build on students' strengths.

You are accustomed to working as a mentor and collaborating with the student health team regarding both students and your own teaching.

You have experience and interest in school development and collegial learning, see collaboration and cooperation as natural starting points in working with students, but you are also used to working independently.

You are familiar with and knowledgeable about the curriculum for upper secondary school.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.
